Job Opportunity: Digital Content Specialists + Interns for Healthfirst

Healthfirst is looking to hire two digital content specialists/interns who are students or recent grads who can cut and edit video for day to day editorial content. Also looking for good writers who can write catchy copy for internal and external audiences and bring creative ideas to the table. They’re looking for someone who can work 16-20 hrs per week.
Job Description:
We are seeking a creative story-teller to be part of a growing and dynamic communications team. We’re looking for someone who is willing to “break the mold” when it comes to developing original and engaging digital content that will help us tell the stories that relay our mission and our work.
The ideal candidate should be excited to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to shoot and edit content with quick turnaround using the latest app’s and technologies (Smartphone, DSLR, or similar cameras). We want someone who can think on their feet and who is eager to learn and explore.
  • Create, shoot and edit day-to-day internal and external digital content, including posts, interactive products, mobile apps, and streaming
  • Help coordinate editorial calendar, research and generate ideas and pitches
  • Support broader communications team as needed, including content creation for social media and email newsletters
  • Prepare, convert, and upload files for publishing as needed
  • Assist in copy editing and fact-checking stories that are published
  • Assist with any web production work required for Special Projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to commit to work 16-20 hours per week
  • Prior experience in a professional environment; journalism experience preferred
  • At minimum, a rising junior or senior in college, or a recent graduate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for design
  • Ability to multi-task, but know how to focus on priorities
  • Experience using Facebook and Twitter for professional purposes
  • Familiarity with Adobe Create Cloud Suite and/or non-linear video editing software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must work well in a team environment, be self-motivated and pay close attention to detail
  • Attendance/punctuality is a must
  • Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.
  • Will not require sponsorship for employment
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
  • Flexibility with hours to attend daytime and evening events
