Join the Center for the Humanities for their October Events
OCTOBER EVENTS & OPPORTUNITIES
Please join the Center for the Humanities this October for two cross-disciplinary conferences: Unit Structres: The Art of Cecil Taylor, exploring and honoring the work of musician, poet, and educator Cecil Taylor, and “Un-Fair Trades: Artistic Intersections with Social and Environmental Injustices in the Atlantic World.” We’re also hosting a workshop and public discussion with journalist and medieval historian David Perry, conversations on Tricontinentalism and printed matter in contexts of protest, and a lecture on groundbreaking sister doctors, Elizabeth and Emily Blackwell.
We have opportunities to participate too! Please check out our new Audre Lorde Reading Group, calls for GC Doctoral Student Fellowships as part of our Seminar on Public Engagement and Collaborative Research, and a Call for Proposals for a conference on “Graduate Education at Work in the World.”
