SMS Faculty Member, Melissa Friedling, was Awarded a Grant from The NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music, and Theatre
Assistant Professor of Filmmaking, Melissa Friedling, was awarded a grant from The NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre, an initiative of the City of New York Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment (MOME). The grant is in support of the completion of her documentary short, “An Odd Pair,” A total of $2 million was awarded to 94 projects in music, theatre, film and digital media projects led by artists who identify as women or are coming from a female perspective. The grants, designed to help the artists complete their projects, are the second round of the NYC Women’s Fund for Media, Music and Theatre.  Additional information about award recipients can be found here.
