SMS Faculty Member Melissa Friedling Commissioned to Create Video Portraits with Inductees into the New York Foundation for the Arts Hall of Fame
Melissa Friedling was commissioned for the seventh consecutive year to create video portraits/interviews with inductees into the New York Foundation for the Arts Hall of Fame in support of their annual Benefit Gala. This year’s in-person gala was postponed due to the novel coronavirus until 2021 when the video portraits of inducted honorees, Kay WalkingStick and Chin Chih Yang, will premiere. In lieu of the 2020 in-person benefit auction, Melissa was asked to create a video tour of the gallery installation of works donated by prominent artists and open for bidding. All proceeds benefit NYFA supported programs and emergency funds for artists.
