Emeritus Professor, Carol Wilder, Publishes Article Examining the Kent State Shootings
School of Media Studies faculty member and Emeritus Professor, Carol Wilder, published an article for Public Seminar titled, “How Long is a Football Field? The Kent State Shootings Reconsidered” for the 50th anniversary of the Kent State shootings.
“In today’s climate where mass shootings are a weekly occurrence, and where police violence in minority communities is commonplace, it is notable that none of these events involve a platoon of U.S. military shooting lethal weapons at unarmed American students. In this regard, May 4th remains in a class by itself.”
