Webinar Series- In Time of Plague, 2020: COVID-19
The Center for Public Scholarship at The New School invites you and your colleagues to attend a free webinar series “In Time of Plague, 2020: COVID-19”. The first panel, INEQUALITIES AND PLAGUE, will take place on August 5, 2020: 12:30-2:00pm. The second panel, COMPARING PLAGUES: AIDS AND COVID-19 will take place on August 12, 2020: 12:30-2:00pm.
These webinars bring together experts in the field scientists, activists, policy makers, academics, non-profit leaders, government officials, members of the general public as well as students, to reflect together on the similarities and differences of past plagues and epidemics, which have occurred throughout human history and the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The Webinars are designed to increase our understanding and response to the ways in which we have responded to pandemics in the past and how we might best respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
