Khushnuda Shukurova’s Film, Detained, has been Selected for the 2020 AT&T Film Awards

Detained, a short film by Khushnuda Shukurova, MA Media Studies ’13 has recently been recognized as an official selection winner for the AT&T Film Awards 2020 in the categories of Merged/Augmented Reality and Underrepresented Filmmaker.  
 
The 2020 AT&T Film Awards is a celebration of innovative and immersive filmmaking by aspiring creators whose unique stories are shaping the future of entertainment. 

 

Detained 

Two Syrian refugee siblings receive official legal documents to permanently join their father in the United States. However, when the plane lands in JFK, they are taken into custody for interrogation by Customs and Border Police.
