Position Title: 2021 CASE Advancement Internship

Responsibilities: 

The New School’s Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) team is pleased to announce we will be participating in the 2021 CASE Advancement Internship Program.

During the eight-week remote internship (June 7th – July 30th 2021), the intern will work up to 35 hrs per week within areas of The New School’s advancement office. They will receive on-the-job training and gain valuable skills in the professional areas of advancement, including fundraising, alumni relations, advancement services, and communications and marketing.

Interns throughout the program will participate in a variety of virtual networking and professional development opportunities provided by CASE including an e-curriculum of virtual seminars, virtual networking events, online resources, a select CASE book, and a year-long CASE membership.

– Hands-on educational advancement experience
– Compensation for the duration of the internship at $15/hr for 20-35 hrs/week (20 hrs max if taking summer courses, 35 hrs max if not taking summer courses)

– Complimentary registration to the CASE Conference for Student Advancement
– Participation in introductory CASE advancement webinars and workplace success online seminars
– Participation in CASE’s e-Mentoring program to network with an advancement professional outside your host institution
– CASE student membership for one year after the internship, accessing CASE webinars, the CASE Library and Career Central
– Regular communication post-internship on entry-level job postings and career

Minimum Qualifications:

– Applicants must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate student at The New School
– An updated resume
– A letter of recommendation
– A personal statement: in 750 words or less, please share your interest in educational advancement, how the internship program would future your interest, and the importance of diversity with the workplace
