PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE – Insignia Films
Insignia Films, an award-winning documentary production company, is seeking a full-time Production Associate with serious interest in documentary film for an approximate start date in mid/late January 2020. Candidates should be focused, driven, able to manage his or her own time and juggle many tasks at once. The Production Associate supports all aspects of production, and should be confident communicating goals and priorities among team members. Strong skills with Mac computers and Apple software is essential, and knowledge of video formats, Avid and Adobe Photoshop is a plus. Specific duties include but not limited to:
– Assisting Directors and Producers with day-to-day administrative tasks
– Answering phones and managing general Insignia Films email queries
– Managing Insignia Films website and social media accounts
– Scheduling crew, locations, travel, and gear rental for shoots
– Supporting archival/research team and post-production
– Hiring and supervising interns
– Transcribing interviews
– Handling invoices and expense reports & coding monthly credit card reports
– Managing festival submissions
– Maintaining a clean and organized office and ordering supplies when needed
– Making sure that all company operations and activities run smoothly
– Troubleshooting computer/software problems
We have a number of documentary projects going on right now — from an oral history film about American veterans, to a film about choreographer Alvin Ailey, to a verite project about a Universal Basic Income experiment in Kenya.
