Job Opportunity: Chief of Staff, Inequality Media

Inequality Media with Robert Reich seeks a critical, new member of our small team – a Chief of Staff – to assist the Executive Director in providing leadership and oversight to the everyday operations of the organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Chief of Staff will be part advisor, part administrator, and part project manager, helping to develop and implement strategies to meet our organizational goals. The role will have both internal- and external-facing responsibilities, including but not limited to projects related to issue advocacy, communications, partnership development, video production, fundraising, administration, and operations.
The ideal candidate will handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities simultaneously, mixing long-term projects with the urgency of short-term time-sensitive demands. The Chief of Staff must be a proactive self-starter who enjoys working within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. They must have strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate is excited by the opportunity to play a key role in a young and growing organization, and shares the staff’s, cofounder’s and board’s belief that economic inequality is a defining social justice issue of our time.

This is a full-time position based remotely until our return to Inequality Media’s Berkeley office.

Deadline to apply is Friday, September 25, 2020.
