Internship Opportunity: One Caribbean Television

One Caribbean Television (OCTV) (Website), a 24/7 television network providing news, weather, travel, lifestyle, and entertainment programming about and for the Caribbean is seeking a marketing intern to work on various marketing, distribution, programming, and digital initiatives.

The intern will work closely with the New York-based, President of Sales & Marketing on activities to promote the network, attract sponsors and increase its distribution in the United States and Canada as well as enhance its digital footprint.   

Responsibilities will include: 

  • ideation and preparation of marketing materials and sales presentations 
  • performing marketplace analyses  
  • preparing for digital meetings and conferences 
  • sales prospect data entry and client outreach
  • providing support to social media efforts

The internship is a four-month assignment (which may extend into the Summer) and commences immediately. 

Candidates must be comfortable working with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be social media savvy and be resourceful.    

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the Caribbean and possess a global media perspective.
