School of Media Studies faculty member, Jem Cohen was commissioned by the Criterion Channel to create a new film, Makeshift for Mekas, and assist in programming in homage to filmmaker Jonas Mekas. It will be available on the Criterion Channel starting this fall.

Joan Schuman was selected to be the 2019-2020 Mentor (along with two other radio artists Gregory Whitehead and Anna Friz) to guide the Inaugural Radio Artist Fellowship in a year-long engagement at Wave Farm’s Hudson Valley, NY, community radio art station, WGXC-FM.
