Abstract: Bob McKinnon, an Entrepreneur in Residence, School of Media Studies and President of GALEWiLL Design will provide an examination of the role of media in citizen activism. Using both historical examples and more recent media events such as #BlackLivesMatter and the Occupy movement among others, he will discuss key organizing principles and lessons learned.
